Welcome to Eddie's Mens Store, a family-owned business that has been providing high-quality fashion merchandise to customers since 1972. Founded by the current President of Eddie's Mens Store Inc., this business has a rich history spanning more than four decades. The store has always focused on providing the best possible customer experience with a wide range of men's clothing and accessories. Eddie's Mens Store has become a household name in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas.

Eddie's Mens Store is the product of hard work and determination. The founder, a product of segregated schools, moved from his native Hampton, South Carolina, to York in 1967, in search of better opportunities. He held several jobs but always felt insecure working for someone else. So, he planned to work two full-time jobs for one year to raise the capital to start his own business. In 1972, with just his personal savings behind him, Eddie's Mens Store became a reality.

Eddie's Mens Store is a true family business. The founder's brother, Aiken, ran the store initially, and today, the store is managed by his son. The founder's sister, Shirley Carter of Shirley's Closet, joins him on buying trips to the fashion capital of the East Coast, New York City, and they take the time to catch up on what's going on in the family and back home in Varnville, S.C. The family's dedication to the business has made Eddie's Mens Store a reliable and trustworthy store for customers in Harrisburg and the surrounding areas.

In 1995, Heritage 313 Market, a unique African-American gift and clothing shop above Eddie's Mens Store in downtown Harrisburg, opened to the public. Heritage 313 Market was created to give business-minded people the opportunity to go into business with little investment. The positive response from the community to the new businesses and business opportunities taking place in Heritage 313 Market has been overwhelming. Today, the store has added a shoe repair shop, and two other retailers will be joining them this month.

At Eddie's Mens Store, we believe that life is governed by the choices we make, and we firmly believe that time is key. Either we control it, or it will control us. We always want to be part of something really good and have our own stake in it. As downtown Harrisburg grows, we feel we can grow with it and be a big part of it. Our commitment to providing high-quality fashion merchandise at affordable prices, with honesty and integrity, is unwavering.

Eddie also started a furniture store on Market St. in 2001. About seven years later, he moved it to 200 S. Cameron St. Recently, Eddie's Mens Store was also relocated to Cameron St. on the same block as his furniture store in 2015. Both stores continue to serve the Harrisburg area
